Change VST initialization on Windows to avoid a crash with EZKeys ( and probably others ). If a VST has an internal bypass control, Mixbus will try to use it instead of ‘hard bypass’. Greatly improved support for VST plugins that allow resizing their window. Fixed a crash when inserting time with split intersected regions. Rework percussive hit spraying, in drum mode. Allow Separate using Loop/Punch range to work with edit point set to mouse. Allow Edit -> Crop to work with edit point set to mouse. Fixed an issue where automation-playback was constantly marking the session dirty (the "needs saving" marker would never disappear). This will help OSC developers who want to remotely control Mixbus over a network ). Now, even unhandled messages are printed. The “all” debugging option in OSC remote control has been fixed ( in the past, only handled messages were printed to Window->Log. In the editor sidebar, Locations dialog: right-clicking to change the clock mode: this setting will now be recalled when the session is closed/reopened, Dragging to create/assign a bus on the input strips: if you extended past the end of the channelstrips, you might assign the group to adjacent mixbuses. Faderport MIX button can now be assigned to “show mixer” and Proj can be assigned to ‘show editor’ ( instead of the old "toggle editor/mixer" which sometimes didn't work if you were on a different window ). If fader grouping is OFF, then shift+dragging will move the faders as if the option were on. ![]() Shift+dragging a fader will now reverse the Group behavior: if fader grouping is ON, then shift+dragging will allow adjusting one fader in the group. Tempo markers can be ‘clamped’ - this means that the end tempo of the previous section will track the start tempo of the next marker during tempo-mapping operations. The default color of beat lines has been changed to blue, so it is easier to distinguish "beat" grid lines from the “measure” lines. Rolling the transport, at very specific zoom scales, would sometimes cause the measure/beat-markers to appear & disappear regularly. Improve a-delay to follow tempo-ramps & BPM changes. Improved tempo marker handles & text, on MacOS "retina" machines. Tempo Marker dialog now allows editing the “end” tempo (for tempo ramps) as well as the start tempo. Fixed a problem with solo’ing pure MIDI tracks (with no instrument). ![]() Several fixes to “linked” MIDI regions, especially trimming. Fixed a problem with solos, when loading a v3 session in v4 mostly noticeable when using Mackie MCU controller. Fixed the default mouse modifiers on macOS: If you are having trouble with shift+clicking on tempo lines and markers, please visit Preferences->Editor->Modifiers and click “reset to defaults”. Drag & dropping a channelstrip EQ/compressor box to another channel was working to copy the settings, but it was not updating the visible knob positions. This has been fixed so the Audio Setup dialog always appears when creating a new session. When creating a new session, the Audio Setup dialog sometimes didn’t appear instead the session would open with the last-selected sample rate. The track color-selection dialog now provides a default palette of colors to choose from, and right-clicking on a palette option will save your personal favorites. This allows (for example) grouping several mixbuses so they can be hidden/shown together. Mixbuses can now be added to “groups” with the Group button at the bottom of the strip. ![]() We encourage you to install this new version. This is a FREE update for all Mixbus v4 users. Happily we haven't encountered any major bugs since v4 was launched but we did find and fix several small issues and we decided to publish this small update while we are working towards the release of Mixbus32C. We are very grateful to you, our customers and supporters who helped bring this major update to the Mixbus platform. Thanks for your support during the Mixbus v4 launch! It has been a tremendous success.
